HammerTap LLC

HammerTap helps sellers discover specific ways to increase profits on every listing. Each subscription includes an unbeatable combination of auction research software, superior education programs, and excellent customer support.

Mission The mission of HammerTap is 3-fold: to provide customers with the tools, education and support they need to power-up their profits within the Internet marketplace.

History Founded in 2001 in California, HammerTap began developing a popular line of online auction software applications including BayCheck, BayCheck Pro, FeeFinder, BidderBlock, Auction Informant, PowerTool, and BayMail. In early 2002, HammerTap released the original eBay market research tool, DeepAnalysis. This software allowed users to analyze eBay sales closed within the last 30 days, helping sellers better understand the eBay marketplace.

In early 2004, Bright Builders, Inc. acquired HammerTap from ThinkTanq Corporation. Immediately following the acquisition, Bright Builders began making their primary product, DeepAnalysis, compliant with eBay rules and data licensing requirements. As a part of that compliance, HammerTap established an official license agreement with eBay to use eBay market data.

In 2006, HammerTap became a separate and independent company. Now, as its own company, HammerTap offers the most comprehensive eBay research tool on the market. During this transition, the research tool DeepAnalysis will also undergo a name change from DeepAnalysis to HammerTap. The latest version, HammerTap 3, is scheduled for release in June 2006.
