Eyetools Inc
Eyetools, Inc. is a software company focused on automating the analysis of eye tracking data. We provide eyetracking analysis software as a service to enable companies to easily adopt viewing data as a means to optimize websites, shopping carts, email campaigns, and landing pages. Eyetools is the worldwide technology leader in this space, leveraging sophisticated eye-movement research and visualizations developed at Stanford University. We hold the patent on "eyetracking heatmap" visualizations, the industry standard for presenting eye tracking data.
Eyetools was born in 2000 out of the Stanford University Advanced Eye Interpretation Project. After seeing the business value of eyetracking resulting from the Stanford-Poynter Project, a collaborative study between the Poynter Institute and Stanford University’s Department of Communications around the viewing of online news sites, founder Greg Edwards spun out Eyetools. Since then, Eyetools’ pioneering work in inferring mental state from eye movements and visualizing eyetracking data has led to a number of patents in the area, both issued and pending. Eyetools’ roots in Human-Computer Interaction began in 1995.
Through the use of its patented eyetracking interpretation and visualization software and its experience conducting eyetracking studies, the Eyetools team has been delivering results around customer behavior to commercial clients since 2000. Eyetools is based in Silicon Valley and Sacramento, California.
