Mister Wong feature list
- Privacy: Bookmarks can be saved publicly or privately; the private ones can only be seen by the user, and nobody else.
- Groups: It is possible to create public or private groups. The topic of the group is freely selectable. The purpose: all the members in the group contribute the best bookmarks to a topic, plus ones they find on the web. The advantage is that bookmarks can be reviewed in groups. Each group member can submit a positive or negative vote for each bookmark so the group again has its own way of reviewing the quality of bookmarks. Anyone can become a member of a public group whilst people can only become members of private groups if they have been invited to do so. For example, this is ideal for departments in companies which organize themselves in this way or for students who collect and evaluate the links for their courses or seminars.
- Buddies: Friends or other people who have interesting bookmarks can be added as buddies. With a click you can see all the bookmarks of your buddies. On the buddy list you can see all the buddies at a glance.
- Buddymatch: See how your bookmarks match those of any other user. This is the most convenient way to find users that share the same interests as you.
- Private Messages: Easily get in touch with other Mister Wong users by sending personal messages.
- Search: The Mister Wong search engine uses a complex algorithm to deliver the most relevant results.
- Accept bookmarks: With a click (public) links from other users can be added to your favorites anywhere on the Mister Wong portal.
- Mister Wong toolbar: An extension for the Firefox toolbar makes the use of Mister Wong particularly convenient. With the Mister Wong button it is easy to add new sites to your own favorites when surfing. A second button displays your own favorites and a third one gives you direct access to the home page and various menu items of Mister Wong.
