How does the Shopping.com Merchant Program work?
- You sign up and create a Merchant Account. You decide how much you want to deposit into your Merchant Account to get started. That amount is charged to your credit card.
- Your product listings are published to the Shopping.com Network, complete with information about your store, your policies and your prices. Your listings appear in the millions of search results accessed by our active shoppers every day.
- The price that you want to pay for each sales lead - your Cost-per-Click (CPC) - is set by you, the merchant. You can set a different CPC for each category (electronics) or sub-category (digital cameras).
- When a shopper clicks through to your product page on your website, the CPC sales lead is deducted from the amount you have on deposit in your Merchant Account. You do not pay anything until a user clicks over to your site.
- It’s as simple as that. There is very little work for you to do.

What is the Shopping.com "Featured Store" placement?
- "Featured Store" placement is a paid advertising opportunity within the product category search results pages (offer tables) on Shopping.com in structured categories. This new feature is available to any 3 merchants, and is based on the top 3 cost-per-click bids for that product category. In unstructured categories, you will see "Featured Product" placements in the top 3 positions.
What is Shopping.com’s "Smart Buy" program?
- "Smart Buy" highlights the lowest price offer (including tax and shipping costs) from a Shopping.com Trusted Store (formerly Shopping.com Certified Store) in Shopping.com’s structured product categories such as digital cameras, MP3 players, appliances and shavers. This new feature was designed to help our shoppers choose the right product at the right price, at stores where they can buy with confidence.
How does a store qualify to be a Shopping.com "Trusted Store"?
- In order to become a "Trusted Store", you must meet several criteria. Some of the criteria include being a Shopping.com merchant for at least 3 months, maintaining a high review rating from our community of shoppers, deploying the Shopping.com surveys, including your store logo, tax, shipping, availability, and product images. You must also fill out your store information page, honor prices, promptly process orders, and send email confirmations.
How do my product listings get on the Shopping.com Network?
- It’s easy to get your product listings launched on the Shopping.com Network. Our Merchant Support team will help you every step of the way.
- You can provide Shopping.com with a list of your products in the specific format that our system requires. There is no setup fee or additional charge if you decide to create your own product list for us. We will contact you after your enrollment with the exact information and format that we need so that you can directly "feed" your product listings into the Shopping.com system.
- If you do not have the staff or the resources to handle your own product listings, Shopping.com can do it for you. Our customized product "crawler" will retrieve your product listings right from your site. There is an initial set up fee of $300 to create your custom crawler, and a monthly $20 fee to automatically update your product listings daily.
