If you’re selling digital products like ebooks and software you are certain to be suffering from refund fraud or piracy.

How It Works

Remotelocker uses an advanced encryption technology to lock your digital products in a ’vault’ . When your customer opens your product for the first time, they are asked to insert a unique access key generated by Remote Locker..

Each time they access your product from then on, Remote Locker performs a background check just to ensure the license key is still valid.

If your customer requests a refund, you simply login to your control panel and with one click, terminate their access key. If they attempt to open your product after that, it will be locked.

Remotelocker also has another unique facility - IP tracking. ( An IP address is a unique number assigned to every computer on the Internet ). By monitoring IP addresses you are able to see how many times your software has been used and whether or not different PC’s are using the same copy.

Think about it - if someone tried selling or distributing a copy of your software multiple times on the Internet, you’d know about it straight away and could immediately lock all of those copies with a single click. Remote Locker is that powerful.

Another great feature of Remotelocker is the facility to set auto expiry periods on your products. For example you could offer a 30 day trial period. If your customer purchased within 30 days you could remove their expiry period but if they didn’t it would automatically lock after 30 days.

 2) How easy it to use? - Remote Locker is extremely easy to use. Simply lock your file using the File Lock Generator then upload it to your site as normal. License keys are generated automatically after each sale and your client is immediately emailed their license key. We even supply you with your own unique URL to a thank you page... its that simple.

 3) How many products can I lock? - As many as you like, theres no limit.

 4) What payment processors will Remote Locker integrate with? - Virtually all including Paypal, ClickBank, 2CheckOut, PaySystems etc. All that’s required is to be able to direct your customers to a certain page after they purchase.

 5) How does Remote Locker work if my customer uses my product offline? - Your customer only needs to be online the very first time they access your product in order to unlock it. (as they have just downloaded it they obviously will be). After that, if your customer is offline your product will still operate. However, if you de-activate a product, the next time your customer is online and runs the program it will become locked. Once locked, even if your customer goes offline again, your product will still not operate.

 6) But doesn’t that defeat the object of Remote Locker? - No. The whole point of Remotelocker is to allow your genuine customers to use and enjoy your products as you intended them to, but to prevent illegal copies being distributed and stop habitual refund fraudsters from taking advantage. As well as being a terrific deterrent to refund fraudsters, Remote Locker makes illegally copying and distributing your products totally impractical as all users of the same copy would have to know not to use the product online, and anyone that did would find their product locked for good. At the end of the day, the cheats will target someone else’s, unprotected products and leave yours well alone.
