Does PPC BidMax 4.0 support Yahoo’s name Panama system?
YES, PPC BidMax 4.0 fully supports Yahoo’s name Panama system.
However, under Yahoo’s upgrade schedule, USA clients can upgrade their account to Yahoo new Panama system between 11 December 2006 to 3 January 2007. The upgrade for international clients will be available on January 2007.
Because above reason, there are two versions will available at this stage:
1. PPC BidMax v4.0: this new version will support Yahoo’s new Panama platform. If you have upgraded your account from the old system to the new system, then you need to use PPC BidMax v4.0 to manage your Yahoo’s new account.
2. PPC BidMax Overture v3.0: this version will support Yahoo/Overture’s old system. If your accounts are still in Yahoo/Overture’s old system, OR you are a Yahoo international client, then you need to use BidMaximizer Overture v3.0 to manage your accounts.
What’s different between version 4 and 3 ?
After upgrading my Yahoo account to the new Panama platform, what is changed in Bid Maximizer v4.0 and how will i get effected?
Because Yahoo’s new Panama platform is a completely new system from the old Overture system, therefore, there is a big impact to to BidMaximizer on how it works.
Here are the main changes in Yahoo/Overture and effects on Bid Maximizer:
- The "Get MarketState" (or Keyword Look Up) function will no longer exist in v4.0: Instead of using the "Keyword Lookup" results and "Current Position" for managing your bids, Bid Max will be using a new "Forecast data" that have been provided by Yahoo for bidding.
- Yahoo will not be providing your "competitors bids" for the specific keyword: This change makes the Yahoo AdWords similar to Google adwords, where you will not be seeing your competitor bids when bidding for your own. Bid Max will be using a complex bidding algorithm similar to Goolge Adwords campaign management.
- Bidding algorithm has been changed: - You are not longer to bid to a target position directly, the program will use a similar bidding algorithm as Google
- New Bv4.0 will allow you to manage Campaigns, Adgroups, AdCreative and Accounts: - With the new version of Bid Max 4.0 you will be able to manage your "Keywords", "AdGroups", "Campaigns" and "Accounts". We have implemented many new functions that you can use with the new Yahoo Panama Platform. You can see and change your
- Campaign: Change your "Daily Spend" budget, change the "Status" of the campaign,
- AdGroups: Change your "Adcreative", add more adcreatives, change the statuss or Maximum bid.
