How Does MuVar "Learn" Which Variables Are More Profitable?
It’s really pretty simple. It keeps track of what versions are being shown to which visitor. It does this by IP address in special files right on your server.
That means a visitor can come back a dozen times and still see the exact same sales letter. It also means that they can make a purchase a year later and MuVar can still match up that purchase with the variables that were shown to that customer on the sales letter.
That’s exactly what it does. Then it calculates a "visitor value" for each version of each variable based on the price of your product (which you tell MuVar during the installation). That visitor value is then used to "bias" a random number generator to show more profitable versions of each variable more often.
What Kind Of Reporting Does MuVar Include?
Although MuVar is entirely automated, it is still nice to be able to view a report showing what it is doing.
There is a report that shows every version of every variable. It includes the following statistics for each version of each variable:
1. Number of vistors who have seen this version.
2. Number of sales from visitors who saw this version.
3. The total amount earned from this version.
4. The conversion ratio of this version (the percentage who bought)
5. The visitor value of this version (the average amount earned per visitor).
Since MuVar uses the visitor value to determine the odds of any particular version being shown to a new visitor, this report also shows you the most likely makeup of the sales letter that is being shown to new visitors.
