Froogle, Google’s shopping search engine, applies the power of Google’s search technology to one very specific task: locating sellers that offer the item you want to find and pointing you directly to the place where you can buy it.

To use Froogle, click the Froogle top link on Google or go directly to the Froogle home page. Type in the name of the item you want to find and click on "Search Froogle" to see offers available for purchase online. If you prefer to pick up the item yourself, you can then click "Local Shopping" to enter your zip code and search for the item near you. Almost instantly, you’ll see photos of relevant products and links to the stores that sell them. You’ll also see Product Reviews and Seller Ratings to help you make better buying decisions.

As with all other Google search results, Froogle ranks your results based on their relevance to your search terms. Google does not accept payment for placement within our actual search results, and the advertising that appears on Froogle search results pages is always clearly identified as "Sponsored Links."

It costs nothing to reach online shoppers by listing your items with Froogle, Google’s free shopping search engine. You can link directly to your website, and if you don’t have one, we’ll host your offers for free.

If you sell DVD players, for instance, your listing could appear on a page like this one.

How it works :

1. Decide what to sell - You don’t have to list every item you sell; you might want to start with your top 50 best-selling or top-profit items and add more as you see good results.
2. Tell us about your items - Whenever someone searches on Froogle for an item we know you carry, your offer could appear (and have we mentioned that it’s free?). You can use Google Base to tell us about your items by submitting a bulk upload file containing information about each of them or by submitting information one item at a time via a web form; the more info you provide, the more likely we are to be able to send you qualified customers. Be sure to choose ‘products’ or ‘vehicles’ as your item type.
3. Wait for customers to find you - When shoppers search on Froogle, they can see the information you’ve provided about your offer and click right over to your offer’s web page. They can then visit your store if you’ve included location-specific information, or they can purchase from your website if your site has an online store.
