This system took over two months to write and includes functions you will not find anywhere else.

Our goal for this new system was to automate fraud detection as much as possible. Some of the highlights of the new system include:

- Collaborative Fraud Reporting: Allows you to report affiliates as fraudulent, and look up affiliates that other DirectTrack users have reported in the past.

- Affiliate Website: In addition to giving you the ability to allow affiliates to have unlimited websites registered to their account, you can now restrict affiliates from only getting credit from websites that you approve in their account. You would then receive notification if an affiliate is sending traffic from an unauthorized site.

- Signup Form Improvements: There will be an option you can turn on to add an image validation box to your sign up form so affiliates couldn’t auto generate signups. You may also set up criteria to auto-deny applications. You can identify items you feel are associated with fraud such as certain domains, email addresses, country locations, IP Addresses, etc.

- Pending Affiliate Approval: Within each pending affiliate application, the system will automatically provide warnings why the affiliate may be fraudulent. For instance, if their zip code & state do not match up, or if they have been flagged by another DirectTrack user as fraudulent, you will see a warning in red.

- Traffic Reports: Several reports are available to research potential fraud activity. You can run reports to see exactly where affiliate traffic is coming from, find bad lead & click referrals that are not matching up with the affiliate’s site(s) or your campaigns, and there are separate click and lead time stamps as well as IP registrations so you can look for inconsistencies.

- Tracking Pixel Authentication: This enables you to type in the domain your tracking pixel(s) is supposed to be loaded from, so if DirectTrack detects the pixel from being loaded from an unauthorized domain, you will be notified. In addition, Network clients will be happy to know that you can set up the system to automatically validate that the pixels on your advertisers confirmation page has not been removed.

- FraudMeter Criteria: The FraudMeter, which uses a point system to rate your affiliates based on their fraud potential, can now be set upusing your own criteria and point scale. Some of the options you have are to set points based on higher conversion rates or EPC than the average, affiliates using unregistered website referrals, affiliates who have onlybeen active for a select number of days, and many more. The purpose of this is for you to be able to see a report of affiliates who have a high fraud score so you can prevent potential losses.
