Keep an Eye on the ClickBank Vendors you’re Affiliated with and their Product Prices!

There is now an Easy way to know exactly when a ClickBank Publisher drops a Product or Price on an item you, as a ClickBank Affiliate, are paying good money to promote and advertise!

Lack of Communication between the ClickBank Publisher and the ClickBank Affiliate

This lack of communication between these two parties can be the cause of some serious strife. If the Publisher decides to drop a product, the Affiliate may go on for a while promoting it until they notice it’s not available any more, likely losing them money in advertising costs. This same problem exists when that Publisher lowers their Product Price that they first set up, or the Commission Rate paid to the Affiliate, and this may have ultimately been what attracted the Affiliate to their product in the first place.

There are a few reasons for this lack of communication:

 1. Technically, the ClickBank Affiliate is not an Affiliate of the Publisher, but of ClickBank instead.
 2. And more importantly, there is absolutely no communication to the Publisher about which affiliate has started promoting his product, they can only see who has promoted sales after that Affiliate’s efforts start to come to fruition.
 3. Although the publisher can see within their account which affiliate promoted what sale, they can not contact that affiliate in any way. Only ClickBank can.

Unfortunately, the way in which ClickBank is set up doesn’t really allow even them to contact the ClickBank Affiliates whenever the Publisher makes a change. This is because there isn’t really anything tying any given Affiliate to a Publisher except a Hoplink, and ClickBank doesn’t log how many, or which Affiliates have aquired a Hoplink to any given Publisher.

With the use of PPC programs becoming more and more popular among Affiliate Marketers, the potential to lose money is very real when promoting ClickBank Products.

Experienced Affiliate Marketers know exactly how much they can spend on any given Campaign so as to turn a profit. If the Price, Commission Rate, or availability of any of those Products changes without them knowing, they stand to lose a great deal of money and unfortunately this can happen when promoting new and untested, or older ClickBank Products.
